On December 26, 2004, a massive earthquake off the coast of Sumatra triggered a tsunami that devastated coastal communities throughout the Indian Ocean. The tsunami killed more than 230,000 people and left millions more homeless.

Mary Beth Pfeiffer was one of the many volunteers who traveled to Sri Lanka in the wake of the tsunami. She worked with a local organization to help survivors rebuild their lives. In her book, Journey in the Wake of the Tsunami, Pfeiffer recounts her experiences as a volunteer and explores the themes of loss, grief, hope, and resilience.

Pfeiffer's book is a harrowing and inspiring account of one woman's journey through the aftermath of a natural disaster. She writes about the devastation she witnessed, the grief of the survivors, and the hope that she found in the midst of despair.

Journey in the Wake of the Tsunami is a powerful and moving book that offers a unique perspective on the human spirit's ability to triumph over adversity. Pfeiffer's writing is honest, compassionate, and hopeful. She has created a book that will stay with readers long after they finish reading it.
