About the Author
The author of Memoir of a Liberian Civil War Survivor is a Liberian-American writer and activist. They were born in Monrovia, Liberia, in 1975, and they lived through the Liberian Civil War from 1989 to 1997. After the war, they fled to the United States, where they earned a degree in political science from the University of California, Berkeley. They now work as a human rights advocate and they speak out against the horrors of war.
